A doughnut or Donut is a popular dessert and breakfast food in North America and around the world and prepared in various forms. The classic doughnut has a hole in its center to allow for more even cooking and is coated in a sweet sugar or honey-based glaze. Filled doughnuts generally do not have a hole in the middle.
